Fiona McMahonPelvic Floor Physiotherapist


Fiona McMahon, DPT, earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. Fiona began her pelvic floor training at Beyond Basics and has received continuing education in the area of pelvic floor disorders through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Institute. Fiona completed her clinical training at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, Park North Physical Therapy, Beyond Basics Physical Therapy, and STAR Physical Therapy. She has had experience working with patients recovering from sports injuries, amputations, musculoskeletal disorders, and joint replacement surgery as well as patients with pelvic floor disorders. Fiona is passionate about the field of pelvic floor rehabilitation and strives to incorporate the latest evidence into the treatment of her patients. Fiona was a regular contributor to the Beyond Basics Blog while completing her doctorate and covered topics such as prostate cancer rehabilitation and physical therapy’s role in the treatment of endometriosis. She is a member of the APTA section on Women’s Health and the International Pelvic Pain Society.
